Popular Roadside Attractions & Stops Along Route 66
Created out of the lyrics to The Air Force Song "The U.S. Air Force" is the official song of the United States Air Force. It is informally known as "The Air Force Song," and is often informally referred to as "Into the Wild Blue Yonder." The song is often sung at Air Force-related functions, and is sung at various times (at the beginning of the duty day or before going into the chow hall for breakfast on weekdays) by basic trainees at Lackland Air Force Base. We took the first and most popular verse and created the airforce logo. Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun; Here they come zooming to meet our thunder, At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun! Down we dive, spouting our flame from under, Off with one hell of a roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force! We support The Air Force and our all troops, and can only hope this art inspires.Popular Roadside Attractions & Stops Along Route 66 One of the original U.S. highways, US Highway 66, ran from Chicago, Illinois, all the way to Los Angeles, CA covering over 2,400 miles.
