The people, the food, the culture etc.. each neighbor has its own personality and all together they make up the great Island of Manhattan. This "big apple" design is created out of the great neighborhoods of Manhattan.
Kansas City, New Orleans, Chicago are just a few of the early great cities where Jazz first started out. It was those small little smoke filled clubs or cold street corners where sounds that had never been heard before started grooving together to create Jazz which ultimately was the back bone to blues, rock and many other genres of music. Just like these cities - The Trumpet was essential to that jazz sound. This piece celebrates the history of jazz music and the cities that helped cultivate it.
